Only one annual membership is required. Select one or more roles that you will take on this year.
Keep in mind each role has its own set of requirements needed for membership validation and your Club must listed on the Club Directory with MTO before you will be able to register individually.
Annual Muaythai Ontario Memberships are based on the calendar year. Active memberships end on December 31st of the year of registration. This is true no matter when a member has registered
Example 1: An athlete registers with Muaythai Ontario on September 1st, 2019. Their membership expires on December 31st, 2019.
Example 2: An athlete registers with Muaythai Ontario on February 1st, 2019. Their membership expires on December 31st, 2019.

Professional Athletes are defined as those who, in any full contact combat sport, have received consideration for athletic performance beyond a reasonable expense reimbursement, competed under a professional contract, or are on any professional ranked list.
Professional athletes are able to participate in Muaythai Canada amateur competition where it complies with the laws of the local jurisdiction and athletic commission (if applicable).
Athletes who have competed professionally at any level are permitted to enter competition at A Class or above. Athletes who have participated in low level professional competition may be eligible to enter in to B Class by submitting a Request For Professional Reclassification to be reviewed by a technical committee.

As part of the Ontario Sport Recognition Policy and Muaythai Ontario's Screening Policy, all Seconds (Coaches & Corners) and Officials are required to complete background screening. This background screening may be a Vulnerable Sector Verification (VSV), an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC), or both. Please see our post on it here for more details.
If you've already background screening to MTO, check to see if it has expired by looking up your profile in the MTO Coach Directory or MTO Officials Directory.
Please note: If you have already submitted a VSV that has been approved (your profile shows "On File") but is now expired, you will only need to complete an Enhanced Police Information Check, which can be done easily online for $25 at Sterling Talent Solutions.
Presently there are no screening requirements for Coaches from out of Province clubs. In time, Muaythai Canada will adopt a country-wide screening policy that will be implemented by recognized Provincial Sport Organizations in other provinces.
