Your entire combat sports competition history is contained in your myMTOaccount, an online login with Muaythai Ontario that is created for you after you submit your membership.
After your myMTOaccount information is sent to you by email, log in to list any striking based combat sports experience that you have outside of MTO - this can be Muaythai, Boxing, MMA, Kickboxing, etc. This experience will show on your Online Athlete Passport - your digital Muaythai identity that gets you access to competition throughout the year.
Athletes are responsible for keeping an accurate, up-to-date records within their myMTOaccount - any competitive experience outside of MTO must be recorded before you are scheduled for Muaythai Ontario competition. If you're not scheduled to compete, you'll need to make sure your account is updated within at least 10 days. Failure to keep your records up to date may result in suspension.
Rolling out this year is the myMTOaccount - an online login with Muaythai Ontario that is created for you after you submit your membership.
This means that you no longer need to list all your combat sports experience during membership renewals! Instead, you will be prompted to update all your experience in the myMTOaccount.
NCCP stands for National Coaching Certification Program, and is the Coaching Association of Canada's official coach development program for all sports across the country. Muaythai Canada is working to develop an NCCP approved coaching pathway, and an NCCP # is the first step for coaches everywhere.
While an NCCP # isn't mandatory to register with Muaythai Ontario, it is very good to have and will be needed later in the year to get access NCCP workshops hosted by Muaythai Ontario. You can follow these instructions in our FAQ to see how to get an NCCP number from Coach.ca. It'll take you just a few minutes!
As part of the Ontario Sport Recognition Policy and Muaythai Ontario's Screening Policy, all Seconds (Coaches & Corners) and Officials are required to complete background screening. This background screening may be a Vulnerable Sector Verification (VSV), an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC), or both. Please see our post on it here for more details.
If you've already background screening to MTO, check to see if it has expired by looking up your profile in the MTO Coach Directory or MTO Officials Directory.
Please note: If you have already submitted a VSV that has been approved (your profile shows "On File") but the Background Screening is now expired, you will only need to complete an Enhanced Police Information Check, which can be done easily online for $25 at Sterling Talent Solutions.
